We did expect Apollo 13 and Cocoon filmmaker Ron Howard’s home to look like a movie set and his $12.5 million Manhattan apartment doesn’t disappoint. Howard had paid $5.6 million for the 3-bedroom, 3,000 square foot, 26th floor Eldorado building co-op in 2004.

A private elevator leads you to the spacious apartment’s smooth-paneled foyer, which makes you feel like you have travelled back in time to a 1930s ocean liner, with its textured wall tiles and cork flooring. From the apartment’s only guest room, one can see the Hudson River below.
